Our Team

Team Name: The Firestar

Team members:

  • Aayushi Bansal
  • Srinidhi Ayyagari
  • Tanisha Sharda

All the team members are pursuing B.Tech in Information Technology, at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women.

The Team is listed among the 'Top 10 Teams' in the 3-member teams category among 600+ participating students all across India in the 'Mars Colonization Program' conducted by Microsoft during the Engage 2020 Virtual Mentorship!

Project Features

The innovative features of our project are:


  1. Checkpoint:
    Rover can pass through a checkpoint before going to the destination.
  2. Multiple Destination:
    Rover will visit that destination which has the shortest path.
  3. Different types of obstacles:
    Users can add different types of obstacles such as walls, hills, craters, glaciers and storms.
  4. Different rates of algorithm run:
    Users can run the algorithm in slow, medium or fast speed.
Future Scope of our project

Features we wish to add in future are:


  • Add more algorithms to the project.
  • Add Dijkstra's algorithm in the ‘Checkpoint functionality’.
  • Add Multiple checkpoints and Multiple destinations dynamically, based on user input.
  • Add a real time graph which compares the running time of all algorithms.
